Loving

“You need only claim the events of your life to make yourself yours.  When you truly possess all you have been and done, which may take some time, you are fierce with reality.”

~ Florida Scott Maxwell

Just for today…

Go about your travels with just a penny in your pocket.  Find some nature to nurture, smile while you’re there.

Write everything with your least dominant hand.  If you are ambidextrous, do it backwards/mirrored image.

Spend two hours in a public library for pleasure.

Bake a cake and eat it without utensils (or hands).

Hand write a letter to someone.  Mail it.

Read a book aloud with as much inflection as possible.

Sit in silence for ten solid minutes… no interruptions, non negotiable.

Choose one. Do it.  Just for today

The Evil Genius and I are enjoying The Phantom Tollbooth these days - I read aloud, he listens and occasionally reads a few words to me. I’m reading it with a British accent, because why not?

We are watching an owl outside our window, and he’s watching us back. Sometimes I wonder if he thinks the bird feeder is his own personal all-you-can-eat buffet.

I still feed the birds, though - everyone gets fed at Casa de Crazy.

Shade and Sweetwater,
K (who thinks she’ll take a few minutes RIGHT NOW to go outside and be still while the wind blows the cobwebs from her mind)

Teena: Love it and live it.

K: I love that book and of course with loudest accent possible. I am sure you and the evil genius yuck it up well. Loving that you are living it. Your examples made me smile and giggle as usual.
